FlipX, the new range of indoor sensors from OPTEX, is available at By Demes. It features an innovative pyroelectric sensor and rotating lens, allowing for two distinct detection fields with one product: wide or narrow.

Thanks to SMDA digital logic and a spherical lens design, the FlipX series guarantees advanced intrusion detection for homes and businesses.

The series features the FlipX Standard and FlipX Advanced models.

FlipX Standard Features

FlipX Standard is a Grade 2 sensor featuring SMDA “supermultidimensional analysis” digital logic, allowing it to avoid false alarms caused by light, temperature, and pet changes. Additionally, its innovative pyroelectric sensor makes the sensor unique in its ability to adapt to the human form, also avoiding false alarms caused by pets.

With an elegant and compact design, FlipX Standard is available as both a PIR model (FLX-S-ST) and dual technology PIR and microwave (FLX-S-DT). By simply removing the casing and rotating the lens 180°, it is possible to change the detection area from 85° wide, to cover large open spaces, to only 5° to cover narrow hallways or windows, both in residential and commercial environments.

FlipX Standard Detectors

• FLX-S-ST FLIPX: The OPTEX-210 device is the new indoor sensor from OPTEX featuring an innovative pyroelectric sensor, with a people detection element to create human-sized detection areas and with greater pet tolerance.
• FLX-S-DT FLIPX: The OPTEX-211 model, meanwhile, features OPTEX’s robust microwave module, guaranteeing the sensor’s durability in difficult environments, especially humid climates, and greater capture performance by adapting the microwave to the infrared detection area.

FlipX Advanced Features

FlipX Advanced, which features Grade 3 certification, stands out for its high-performance dual technology, combining PIR and microwave, with a rotating lens. It offers protection for up to 80 zones and wide detection coverage up to 15 meters, and narrow up to 24 meters. Thanks to all the aforementioned features, it becomes the ideal option for high-risk indoor installations, including luxury residential and commercial buildings that require the installation of an anti-intrusion system, such as jewelry stores and banks.

The devices also stand out for their “superhigh sensitivity”, IR anti-masking, and detection function in the area under the sensor, and double conductive shielding, to block RFI waves.

FlipX Advanced Detectors

• FLX-A-AM: Available as the OPTEX-214 model, it stands out for its wide field coverage (15m 85º) and narrow field coverage (24m 5º).
• FLX-A-DAM: In this case, By Demes has three models, OPTEX-215, OPTEX-216, and OPTEX-217, offering wide field coverage (15m and 85º) and single PIR for narrow field coverage.
