Endesa, along with 48 universities from 16 Autonomous Communities, has launched a pioneering collaboration process with the Institute of Engineering of Spain (IIE).

The process began with a day that allowed for a high-level technological exchange between more than 150 representatives of research groups and Research-Innovation-Transfer managers from different universities in Spain with engineering studies and representatives of Endesa.

During the day, Endesa presented 45 Priority Technological Projects/Lines (LTP) related to its energy management, renewable generation (Hydraulic, Wind, Solar) and electrical distribution networks. To cover this technological collaboration, Endesa will seek support from the research groups of the universities that have previously sent technological sheets to the company describing their experience and capacity for collaboration.

 

This process of technological collaboration is a great opportunity for young people who want to be part of projects oriented to the present and future development of the energy sector. The research groups will face challenges in different areas such as renewable energies, looking for solutions to prevent the formation of ice on the blades of wind turbines or how to use the technology of identification and detection of archaeological remains in the selection of suitable locations to build new renewable plants.

 

In the field of distribution, some of the priority technological lines involve the search for autonomous robotic solutions for underground lines or the development of new generation cables that can increase the efficiency of existing distribution networks. The application of artificial intelligence and meteorological studies are other challenges presented in the field of energy management.
