Hikvision brings its technology to so-called educational radars already operating in Spain. These devices provide reliable information, in real-time, which is integrated into a computer system with daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly statistics.
Educational radars display data such as the speed and license plate of the vehicle traveling on the road. These systems consist of a Hikvision intelligent monitoring camera ANPR with RADAR model iDS-TCM403-EIR/083, an LED information panel DS-TVL224-8-5EY with RJ45/RS485 connection, and the HikCentral security management software.
Practical examples, such as the case of Mijas (Malaga), show informative light signals to vehicles traveling through the established area, helping to raise driver awareness of their speed and compliance with traffic regulations. These radars indicate the speed with a specific color, whether it is below the established limits (green), close to them (yellow), or exceeds them (red). The system can be remotely configured according to needs, and the collected information allows for various search filters and alerts in case of repeat offenders or other situations.
Hikvision's technology provides a platform combined with a client/server model, advanced user management, monitoring of high-quality photographs and real-time video. The record is available for consultation and helps in managing plans, blacklists of vehicles, alarms, parking management, counting, and custom reports. For the collected data, the export of results in Excel, CSV, or PDF formats is considered.
Darkfighter technology to improve camera precision
In low-light environments, conventional cameras can easily lose important details for the identification of subjects and vehicles. Infrared enhances image sharpness in conventional cameras, but cannot reproduce color. Hikvision has dedicated years of research and development to image processing in various low-light environments.
In 2013, Hikvision launched cameras with DarkFighter technology, featuring a larger sensor and a wider aperture. Just four years later, Hikvision launched DarkFighterX, which included an innovative dual-sensor design as a highlight. Based on the process by which the human eye perceives color and brightness, it employs two sensors: one for infrared light, ensuring brightness and sharpness, and the other for visible light, ensuring vivid color reproduction. These signals are combined into a bright and colorful image.
The result allows for unprecedented brightness and vivid colors, along with incredibly sharp and clear images in very low-light conditions. This brings improvements in intelligent functions such as license plate recognition (LPR), vehicle type, color, model and manufacturer, absence of license plate, driving direction, and motorcycle capture.
