Simon presented its innovations in space management at Light + Building 2024. The company shared its commitment to solutions that combine the best design with the latest technology in key areas of daily life such as the office or home.
In this edition, which was the second in which it participated, Simon had two stands: booth C31 in hall 11.1 (Electrical Engineering pavilion), where it showcased its solutions for homes, hotels, and offices, and booth F28, located in hall 4.0 (Technical Lighting pavilion), where it exhibited its proposals for outdoor and urban areas.
Simon's presence at Light + Building 2024 included a wide range of products, with solutions focused on promoting people's well-being in spaces: from smart connected solutions for homes or buildings, to indoor and outdoor lighting systems, lighting control, or electrical accessories.
Innovation is our growth engine. We have been evolving our devices and solutions for over 100 years, aiming to improve the user experience. We make technology adapt to people, and Light + Building is the ideal framework to bring our cutting-edge products to the world, with special interest in the Central European market, said Marc Pérez, CEO of EMEA and member of Simon's Management Committee.
Design and technology serving spaces
At Light + Building, visitors could discover Simon's value proposition, based on combining the latest technology with the best design, a work that has been recognized with some of the world's most prestigious awards, such as the IF Design Awards or the Red Dot Design Award. Products from the company, such as the switch and socket from the Simon 270 series, have been certified as contributing to sustainability by Cradle 2 Cradle.
In this regard, the company's proposal at the fair included various technological solutions to promote smarter homes, facilitating comfortable consumption information management to achieve a more sustainable and efficient space. Highlighted, for example, is the Simon iO Home ecosystem, a series of connected solutions that allows linking Simon's smart devices at home quickly, simply, and personalized.
At the Simon booth, the latest trends for work areas such as offices, hospitals, educational centers, or libraries were exhibited. The company's solutions in this aspect stand out for their minimalist aesthetics and complete range of electrical solutions, created with environments requiring more robust installations in mind. This is why they cover everything from underfloor, floor, or wall installations to solutions for furniture with international power outlets.

The ProtoPixel technology was also present at the booth. Owned by Simon, ProtoPixel drives a digital platform that allows creating, implementing, and controlling any lighting experience, from small installations to large architectural projects. These solutions complement Simon's offerings to provide more value, achieving greater specialization in experiential lighting projects and their control.
Also, in Frankfurt, Simon presented its portfolio for the hotel sector, with standout solutions such as Simon iO Hotel, aiming to turn hotel rooms into smart spaces through integration. This system enables a smart room, offering guests maximum comfort, thanks to climate and temperature control in the room, lighting control, or features like "do not disturb," among others. The company's mechanisms include power outlets for worldwide use and USB charging solutions following their aesthetics and finishes.
All these solutions for homes and hotels are also compatible with LOLA, Simon's digital platform, open and adaptable for managing IoT device data, which the company introduced in February 2024. This solution enables creating sustainable spaces, reducing energy and water consumption, and CO2 emissions, tailored to the specific needs of each user or company, and through collaboration with third parties.
